Rose Kando, coordinator of the continuing education program at Dar al-Kalima University, recently presented her paper entitled "The Global Curriculum for The Training of Adults and Adult Trainers: Needs and Prospects in Palestine" at the Palestinian Training Forum 2022. The forum discussed contemporary trends in the training world "toward smart modern training" and was held at the headquarters of the National School of Administration in Ramallah.
Rose Kando presented her academic paper during the third session, which discussed contemporary trends in the professional development of adult trainers. Her paper focused on the definition of the adult learning and educational curriculum, the basic principles of the curriculum, the description of the basic curriculum units, in addition to the application and implementation of training by Dar al-Kalima University.
Rose Kando noted that "Since 2016 until today, Dar al-Kalima University has been cooperating with the International Cooperation Foundation of the German Association for Adult Education in Palestine in order to develop teams of key facilitators and trainers of trainers, in addition to adult learning and education facilitators in various fields such as cultural learning trainers, community learning, learning aimed at increasing skills and income, literacy learning and other fields".
The first session in the forum was focused on contemporary trends in vocational and technical training, the second session examined contemporary trends in training people with special needs, and the third session looked at contemporary trends in the professional development of adult trainers. The fourth session was entitled "Contemporary Trends in digital and creative training", and the fifth session was entitled "Remarkable Initiatives in Training". The forum also included a panel discussion entitled "Contemporary Trends in Training in Palestine". It concluded with a session presenting recommendations.
The forum was organized by the Association of Palestinian Trainers and in cooperation with the International Cooperation Foundation of the German Association for Adult Education and the Palestinian National School of Management.
